Let's face it violet (to me) is purple, but with more fiery heat. Growing up I never thought of the color violet much. It was always the sidekick to the more popular hot pink (that's how you know if you grew up in the 80's and if you know who Lisa Frank is). The worst part is that it always reminded me of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" - in particular the scene where they roll the girl Violet away because she turned into a giant blueberry and who in their right mind would want to be associated with that. Not me. In the end I avoided violet.
Now that I've grownup I'm seeing violet in a new light and let me say, it's no longer being pushed aside and overlooked... so whose the sidekick now?
